Drove up and got blown away. The climb took my breath away from 11780-12005. At top, the views really blew me away: incredible in every direction

Arrived at RMNP this afternoon and scored to get in a short hike with good payoff. Continued down trail another mile or so beyond the dalls

Hiked down to, & around Irene. Continued down another .2 miles beyond to a overlook at a valley. Most of path very maintained.

Hiked to highest point at 1.5 mile mark and around 11600'. Views of tundra and snow capped mntns was awesome. Pip made the 1st 400'+ of vertical climb

@ .5 miles 2 park rangers said kill 15' off trail (deer). Cougar/bear killed. Visual of a bear. Went in and saw most impressive falls I have ever seen

Went over 2.5 miles. Thunder and lightning turned us back. Pretty and a little more challenging. 1st stand of aspens very cool

2nd hike of the day. Saw lots of elk in valley in the way to our first destination and decided to give it a shot. Paved me short made for an easy walk

We went in about 2 miles and kids were whipped. Valley awesome saw 3 elk across Poudre river. Lots of tracks. Little nervous. Overcast

Gave it a go. Post Poudre and coyote. Almost turned around at gate. Glad we didnt. Views and easy drive. Close fauna & great vistas
