I would like to acknowledge that during my many years of visiting, hiking, and running Acadia National Park, I’ve consulted a couple of key books about the park, its trails, and its environs, in addition to my many personal memories, notes, and photos. As I result, I’ve undoubtedly absorbed and internalized some of those books’ trail descriptions and stories.
