Notes:
Steep, tough, eroded. But enjoyed finding evidence of old homesteads.

Notes:
Although trails were muddier than last time (April) the water was lower. We explored a spur off the main trail which led to a small cemetery
|
Notes:
We saw a small bear to highlight our hike.
|
Notes:
A foggy soggy June morning. We saw six elk just off the road near the trailhead. Then two bears ran across the trail at ridge top.

What a wonderful day: we did the loop. Sighted a pileated woodpecker, noted a lot of elk pellets and coyote scat. The horse fords threw me off a bit.

Notes:
50 degrees and sunny. First time there. Hiked up to AT, then on AT to the road and walked down. Nice loop. Hope to return
|
Notes:
3.5" snow at the top. Sighted two red shouldered hawks and a pileated woodpecker. Ours were the only human tracks in the snow once we got to the loop
