We started for Twin Forts Loop, but opted for the slightly longer hike. It's a very flat, clear trail. We saw ducks, geese and sea gulls.

This seldom-traveled trail features industrious spiders that weave massive webs across an otherwise easy path. We saw unused campsites & little else.

One of our all time favorite Virginia hikes. The scramble is a workout, but the views are amazing!

Parked @ Food Lion & crossed Hwy 234. Go north .13 miles to the right to trail entrance. It's an easy hike, but the water and Mt. Laurel were beauty.

Hoping to photograph frozen waterfalls: our GPS took us to the END of the trail. We were NOT disappointed. Last 2 miles has smaller falls, but lovely.
