After taking the bypass you can look down on the third waterfall from a distance. Clouds were moving in.

When I got to the third waterfall I studied it carefully and decided to take the bypass. I could not determine how deep the pool was and the rushing water could have swept me in. Rocks could be lurking beneath the surface.
