Notes:
blue loop mostly, cutting off to green after 5 miles. sunny forecast turned to light rain and i saw *zero* other hikers. will track it next time.

Notes:
5.4 mi
:
ice age trail segment from near pkg lot to green trail. set out @ 8:00 am. 55°-60°F, fog and light rain. beautiful hike! saw one other hiker.
|
Notes:
5.3 mi
:
not much verticality. pleasant hike, especially the older hardwood forest on the back half. the mosquitos near the marsh were predictably awful.
|
Notes:
8 mi
:
last stretch was a challenge but the falls are
so worth it. no bears! the best hike i have ever hiked.
|
Notes:
4.5 mi
:
straight up the hill to start, heavy rain on the approach to mcgee spring, and a bear poking around an otherwise empty campsite 44.
|
Notes:
2.9 mi
:
descended from campsite 44 / hyatt ridge trail. it was raining and i got scared by a bear. hitched a ride to dillsboro. not my best hike.
