Description

From the trailhead, it is an easy, flat hike with lots of open woods and long stretches of trail following Brewer's Brook, which you'll cross via a wooden bridge.

Around the first mile, the grade will begin to increase gradually, preparing you for the remainder of the hike, which will continue to get steeper.

At around the second mile, the trail becomes much steeper and will remain this way for the duration of the hike.

At 0.5 miles from the peak, you'll encounter a spring where you can refill your water bottles and Cooper's Lodge shelter.

The remaining 0.5 miles is a steep rocky set of switchbacks that lead up the backside of Killington Mountain to the peak.

very muddy mixed with snow and ice closer to the top. Went with hiking companion who doesn’t typically hike. Worth the climb. 7.4mi

Awesome hike! Starts out very easy, and right before getting to the peak it gets more intense with a bit of easy scrambling.
