Family Friendly A nice nature trail for the whole family to add on to a visit to the Nature Center.

Description

To access this trail, you can park at the Kensington Metropark's Nature Center. The trail begins from the north side of the Nature Center and initially shares a trail with the Deer Run Trail. The northern edge and western side of the trail passes through drier forest while the southeastern edge is in swamp land.

The swampy section has a number of bridges and boardwalks to help you along, and is a great area for seeing skunk cabbage in the spring. The trail intersects the Wildwing Trail at its southernmost point. There are a number of small pathways you'll encounter along the way that can be used to shorten the trail.
