Note that the western portions of the trail have been completely rerouted in recent years to protect Spotted Owl habitat - stick to the official trail!

Description

The Secret Trail traverses through aspen glades and conifer forests on the slopes of the San Francisco Peaks. The trail is well-marked from the Sunset Trailhead at Schulz Pass and ends unceremoniously on its western side amid the tangle of trails in the Forth Valley system. The trail can be travelled well in either direction, and connections with the Arizona Trail allow it to be used as part of a very nice running or walking loop.
