• Pinhoti Trail

From the FS 500/ Heflin Spur Trailhead, the trail travels northward. The trail winds its way up to Rocky Top Campsite, where there are a few scattered campsites. The trail continues up to Calhoun View, where there's a bench and another campsite. It continues along a winding trail to Lower Shoal Shelter. At least, there are plenty of water sources along this stretch. The trail continues along a winding path until it's end at Pine Glen Campground.

Fauna: Pileated Woodpeckers, Canada Geese.
