Description

This section starts off the High Point Spur Trail and travels for 0.2 miles before turning right (off High Point Spur Trail). It crosses over Talladega Scenic Drive, then turns northward. At 1 mile, the trail crosses out of Cheaha State Park into Talladega National Forest. At approximately 1.5 miles, the trail crosses back into Cheaha State Park. At 2 miles, the trail passes by the Blue Mountain Shelter Spur (on the right). At 2.2 miles, the trail passes by Bald Rock Trail (on the left), and crosses back into Talladega National Forest.

At 8.3 miles, the trail reaches Hillabee Creek Campsite and fords the creek. At 9.3 miles, the trail passes by Whitley Jean Campsite (on the left). It crosses over County Road 24, and turns left (onto the road), then right (into the woods). The trail crosses over a creek, with a nice little waterfall. Watch out for Cottonmouths along this creek.
