Description

This trail connects the main Schultz Creek trailhead to Elden Lookout Road and other trails in those areas. It's a decent hike as an out-and-back, but is most often used by mountain bikers and runners as part of longer routes.

Rocky Ridge climbs moderately along the south-facing slopes of the Dry Lake Hills, which can get warm in the afternoon. Most of the trail is rocky, although there's nothing too steep. You'll get occasional views over Fort Valley and Flagstaff through the trees along the way.
