Description

Pukemokemoke is a 40-hectare forest remnant located in Tauhei, about 30 km north of Hamilton on Tauhei Road.
The reserve is home to over 300 species of native trees, including matai, kahikatea, rimu, totara, and a grove of kauri.

The summit loop track is a gradual climb up to a viewing platform with panoramic views of Mt. Te Aroha, Mt. Pirongia, and the Hakarimatas. At the base of the mountain, there's a historic log hauler site, an ideal spot for a picnic.
