According to the Town of Lancaster webpage, this trail has been re-located (in places); please refer to their website for trail updates.

For this section, look for the HT sign (on the east side of Route 3). It travels through a rough stretch to Around The Mountain Loop Trail, then takes a left. It coincides with Around The Mountain Loop Trail to the north end of Weeks State Park. The trail turns left, onto Old Carriage Road, and descends to Reed Road.

Flora: Herb Robert, Maple, Birch.
Fauna: Garter Snake, Thrush, Pileated Woodpecker, Black Bear Cub, Blue Jay (call), Chickadee (call), Raven (call).
