From the trail the leads down Qannoubine to Fradis near the end, cut back up on a established trail and follow this higher trail around the mountain to reach the end of the normal route to Mar antonios Qoshaya monastery. Relatively level terrain leads you up the mountain to a walkway covering a river. Follow this walkway to the electrical plant. the road is very straightforward affording beautiful views and a respite from the gains and losses in elevation if the valley. Much preferred to the traditional route.
