From the Blanca Lake Trailhead, the steep trail leads you through huckleberry bushes at its highest point before you descend to Blanca Lake, a unique turquoise lake fed by the Columbia Glacier. You can camp on the ridge-line before you descend to Virgin Lake, but Blanca Lake is for day use only.

Once you reach the top of the mountain, the views are amazing! This is the view to the north/northeast off the trail.

A fun little shuffle up some rocks on the trail. There's no getting around this as you have to go up it to continue on the trail and back down it to get off the mountain!
