Description
This is a pleasant trail partially under a forest canopy and partially across restored prairie. It includes a viewpoint of the Middle River. The Fall colors here (Sept - Oct) are wonderful. You can extend your hike by seeing the historic Works Progress Administration (WPA) structures that cross the river and the Larson Mill and Pioneer Cabin on the park's north side. This trail is also the Hiking Club route in this park.
