This trail is only open on the weekends.
Description
From the parking lot (at the west end of the building), the trail heads towards Glessner Road and turns left. It follows the road for a short distance, then turns right (into the field). Though this is not shown (on the Forest Society's map), the numbered Christmas tree cut-outs start at 1, here.
The trail continues to the number 2 cut-out, then descends (right) through the covered bridge. At Christmas Lane, the trail follows the road (left) for a short ways. The trail ascends the hill (on the right), following along the edge of the tree rows. At the top of the hill, there's a picnic table and 360 deg. views.
From here, the trail descends westerly back down to Christmas Lane. Follow the road northwest to just past the rock wall. Here, the trail takes a sharp left turn (still following the numbered Christmas tree cut-outs). The trail coincides with
Pony Path (for nearly 0.2 miles), then turns left (out to the field). After climbing over the A-frame (over the rock wall), turn left.
When you reach the main tread, turn right (following the mowed path) to the bridge. A sign on the bridge will direct you to "cut your own exit"; the actual path is not distinct, from this point.
