ADA Accessible Wide paved trail in good condition and fairly low grade.

Family Friendly This is a short trail that runs along Spring Creek and connects 2 playgrounds. It is wide and paved, easy for strollers.

Tunnel under Parker road is closed when the creek floods.

Need to Know

There is street parking at both playgrounds. Big Lake Park adjoins Christie Elementary School. When Spring Creek floods in storms, parts of the trail may be underwater.

Description

This is a section of the City of Plano's Chisholm Trail system. This section connects Copper Creek Park and Big Lake Park. It runs along the west side of Spring Creek and goes under Parker Road. Copper Creek park has a small shady playground and an open area for soccer. Big Lake Park has a lake for fishing an another playground.

Flora & Fauna

Ducks, fish and turtles in the creek and lake, native plants and wildflowers along the creek. Bobcats and coyotes have been seen around Copper Creek Park.
