Overview

While its short, the whole hike is a collection of steps, ladders and chains so one should take this hike seriously. If you scared of heights this trail is not for you. There are 3 peaks in the park. Hiking 1st peak should give you a good idea as to what the second and third might be like.

Need to Know

There are restroom at the the start. Parking lot fills pretty fast so come early.

Description

Once you head out of parking lot you'll go through short trail through a camping site. Then stairs start. The stairs will take you all the way to the top where you'll have climb on ladders and use chains.

You'll be taking same trail as Sea to Summit Trail then separate after about a 1 mile. Trails are marked clearly with orange signs. If you plan to hike peak 2 and peak 3 you need to track back and follow the sign. Don't take short cut trails; its not only dangers but also damages the alpine vegetation. At the top is steep rock so be careful not to slip. It could be slippery after rain. From October to April with snow and water, this trail becomes very difficult to navigate. You can also access this train from Shannon Falls park.

Flora & Fauna

You'll find Alpine vegetation and trail initially follows the stream with lot of birds
