Description

The trail starts at the Stronghold House ruins. As you follow the canyon north, remnants of structures are abundant along the rim. After half a mile you round the northern side of the canyon. Turn right to stay on the trail. As you head down a small hill, you see Hovenweep Castle, the largest remaining ruin in the unit. Turn right and proceed along the canyon rim. Following the southern canyon rim, you pass by Hovenweep House, Rockrim House, and Twin Towers. At 0.9 miles, the trail steeply descends into the canyon to cross it. As you ascend again, you notice more ruins on your left. Close the loop at 1.2 miles.
