Park at the pullout off of Sunshine Canyon and head up the 4 X 4 road until you reach a Y junction. Turn right and continue up the ridge admiring the views of the boulder foothills. You'll reach a gate at the border of boulder open space go through and do the sort mini rock scramble to the top.

Once at the top you can enjoy panoramic view of the boulder foothills from the crows nest (a small rock fort with a bunch in it). Overall this is a great bang for your buck view near gold hill. About 1 mile round trip with 300 feet of elevation gain.
