Check if the hut is open

Hiking to Kamniško sedlo is pretty easy. The path is always easy to follow and it mostly goes trough a forest. When you're about half way up, you pass a small hut (Pastirci) where you can rest. After that the road takes you trough a meadow with a few boulders. On the right you can see Planjava and on the left Brana. After you go trough some rocky terrain and a bit steeper incline, you get to the hut, where you can sleep and eat in the summer (Camera: kamniska-koca.si) if its open.

The harder part of the trail is dangerous! You travel west of the hut on a good visible trail and start the ascent. You turn a bit left and follow the path. The road will lead you to a very rocky part with a lot of gravel. Before continuing put on a helmet! After following the path to a sign you'll turn left and follow the trail markings. Trail markings in Slovenia are red circles with white in the center.
