Family Friendly Wide, flat terrain. Good wildlife. Follows the creek.

No foot bridge over the creek. You must ford the creek or cross on the shoulder of the road.

Description

The easiest way to access the trail is to cross on the shoulder of the road, over the bridge. There are gaps in the guardrails on each side to allow access.

The trail follows the county sewer right of way. The county recently updated the path to improve their access. It is now wider and covered in large gravel. The trail parallels a tributary to Allatoona Creek West Branch. The other side of the trail abuts a neighborhood.

This trail is on a flood plain. It will flood in many parts with even modest rain. However, you can typically get around it. The addition of gravel will make this easier. With heavy rain, this area can be mostly underwater as the creek overflows its banks.

Flora & Fauna

Lots of birds, deer, and insects. Some wild flowers. Creek access along the trail for searching for aquatic life.
