Overview
Hike alongside the Arkansas River on this great tour of Buena Vista's, town-accessible trail system. You'll enjoy some fantastic singletrack with panoramic views of
Mt. Princeton and the Sawatch Range.
Need to Know
Ample parking at the trailhead, but this area does see a lot of use and can be busy during the summer.
Toilets available at the trailhead.
Description
Starting at Whipple Bridge, take the Bridge to Bridge trail past
Steep Shortcut to a 3-way junction. Turn left at this junction onto
North Trail, where a short climb will take you to another junction. Continue left onto
North Trail, where you'll be greeted by
Mt. Princeton and the town of Buena Vista.
Just past the one mile mark, you'll top out on CR 304. Turn left and carry on for about 0.1 mile to a right turn onto Broken Broken Boyfriend North.
Enjoy 1.5 miles of rolling singletrack with great views before reaching another junction. Turn left and head towards
Broken Boyfriend South and
Midland Hill Trail (6032), quickly followed by another junction. Follow the right turn onto
Broken Boyfriend South and continue on for another 1.1 miles until you find yourself back at CR 304. Continue across the road and down a driveway towards
Camp Elevation Trail.
After a quick descent, turn right onto Camp Elevation North and continue making your way back towards BV. In 1.3 miles, you'll reach the junction with Bridge to Bridge Trail. Turn right and follow Bridge to Bridge back to Whipple Bridge and the finish.
