Overview

Taking the access road, park before the gate. An easy hike past the towers leads to the start of the incline, where it becomes very steep. There are multiple routes up; just take what's easiest. By the top, it's an easy hike over rocks to the summit, where beautiful views of Matanuska Glacier can be had.

Need to Know

Access to this route is a road to the cell tower. Please don't trespass on the tower land.

Description

Please don't trespass on the cell tower land. The biggest challenge with this hike is about a half-mile of steep incline through thick brush, however there are openings. Be sure to take care when going up and down, as there are a few parts where you almost have to literally climb up. Views from the top are incredible, though a cliff down on the side facing Matanuska Glacier should be noted. However, the sights are wonderful.
