Description
This trail is part of the St Sauveur protected area. It goes through a dense Mediterranean pine forest which makes it a great nature escape! The trail goes in and out of the forest, crossing the main mountain bike path several times.
Mid loop, you'll reach
Passa Meridia Connecting Walkway, a beautiful walkway next to the Lez river. You might be able to see fishing birds or even otters!
From there, you can make it a longer journey by visiting the nearby Restinclieres Castle, see
Restinclieres Castle Loop. Otherwise, start your way back into the woods.
At 2.7km/1.6mi, there is a single hidden picnic table with a great view onto the nearby villages if you're looking for a quiet spot. Another secret viewpoint can be found at 3.3km/2mi – a newly constructed watchtower is available to access a viewpoint onto the Cevennes.
The trail is marked but some sections might be harder than others to follow, keep searching for the marks on the surrounding trees.
