Description
This route uses 3 different trails.
You'll start with the
Figueras Rapids Trail, following the hunting hut road. Once at the hut, your path continues down to the beach.
There, you can have a quick swim! Keep an eye on the river though as water levels can change rapidly.
Join the
Sentier des Gorges de l'Ardeche and continue your route. Some sections might be difficult to pass – again, depending on the water level that day. Most of the trail you should be able to stay dry although waterproof boots are recommended!
Once reaching the ford at 5.6km/3.4mi, stay on the right bank until the next fork. There, start your way back up through the rain forest using
Moure de la Tour - Gorges de l'Ardeche Trail.
Flora & Fauna
Migratory birds can be spotted, using the river to orient themselves.
