Overview

Start from the Norway Pass trailhead and follow the Boundary Trail #1 to Norway Pass. On the way, you'll experience an unobstructed view of Mount Adams as well as a partial view of Mount Rainier. Once you are at the Norway Pass, you can behold the barren northern face of Mount St. Helens and Spirit Lake.

Description

A steady climb to the Norway Pass from the Norway Pass trailhead by following the Boundary Trail #1. A great expanse greets you at the beginning of the trail. Hike up the switchback as Mount Adams greets you from the east. As you hike along the ridge, Mount Rainier peeks out in the valley to your right. The Norway Pass is right after the fork, where the Independence Ridge trail diverges to the left. The trail is easy on your feet and wades between petrified trees and wildflowers.
