Description

From the road, the blue blazed trail heads SW through some pines, crosses under a power line and begins a easy to moderate climb to the beginning of a series of new (2008) switchbacks at 0.4mi that lead to a height of the land at 0.9mi, after which it is level to a junction 40yds later with the trail from Beede Farm.

Turning right, another new switchback avoids a steep climb. Above the switchback there a few short, steep pitches and many side trails to the left to numerous views and blueberry patches. The trail continues with alternating steep pitches and flat areas to the southeast summit at 1.2mi.

The trail now descends into a col and climbs to the northwest summit at 1.3mi, where there are more views. The now yellow blazed trail continues over the summit and down to Beede Rd near Keene Valley. (From ADK High Peaks Trail book, 14th Edition, 2012, page 53)
