Need to Know

Park for the main James Way Trail: pull to the side of James Way at the marked parking and hiking signs.

Description

This trail connects to the James Way Trail on both ends, and can serve as an alternate return route for part of that main trail. The path is partly shaded by oak trees and includes only gentle inclines, so is very comfortable. In several places, there are fortifications to the trail for mountain bikes – even banked curves like for bobsled racing.

Flora & Fauna

California King Snakes, Coast Live Oak (Quercus agrifolia), poison oak, deer, lizards.
