Description
Along the first section of the trail, you'll follow a dirt road that will take you to a fork in the trail. Head to the left to reach the natural arch past abandoned homes and a root cellar. The hike to the natural arch is an easy hike for those wanting a shorter/easy experience. After the natural arch, you can head back to the car the way you came, or traverse the more challenging part of the trail! To do this, head up the stairs and follow along the rocky trail with spectacular views of the area. As you continue along the coastal trail, you'll reach some sections that take you right down close to the water, but then head right back up the steep trail for more views.
Eventually, you'll reach Jones' Cove which is a very picturesque beach where you might be tempted to take a dip in the water. There is a campsite at this location as well. After you are finished cooling off, head back up the hill and you'll link up with the trailhead fork again that will take you back to the parking lot as you follow to the left.
