Need to Know

Official climbing season is July 10th - September 10th

Description

The trail starts with a moderate incline through forested areas. The Subashiri Route offers a more gradual and less crowded start compared to other trails. HikerS navigate through switchbacks and rocky paths as they ascend the mountain, enjoying the tranquility and scenic views of the surrounding landscapes.

As climbers progress, they pass through sections with dense forests, offering shade and a serene atmosphere. The Subashiri Trail also features gravel paths, volcanic scree, and rocky terrain.

As hikers ascend beyond the 8th station, the trail becomes steeper. The final leg of the Subashiri Route involves a more challenging climb to the summit. Climbers face loose rocks, scree, and steeper inclines.
