Overview

The Cooloola Great Walk offers a stunning and diverse natural landscape, including sandy beaches, coastal heathlands, tall forests, freshwater lakes, and picturesque views. The Great Walk spans approximately 102 kilometers (63 miles) and typically takes around five to six days to complete.

The trail begins at the Noosa North Shore and extends all the way to the Rainbow Beach, covering various ecosystems along the way. Hikers have the opportunity to experience the unique flora and fauna of the region, including the diverse birdlife, wallabies, and other native Australian wildlife.

Description

The Cooloola Great Walk is divided into several sections, each offering its own distinct scenery and challenges. Some notable highlights along the trail include:

Noosa North Shore: The starting point of the Great Walk, featuring beautiful coastal scenery and views of the Noosa River.

Cooloola Sand Patch: A massive sand blow that provides panoramic views of the surrounding area, including the expansive sand dunes and ocean.
