Need to Know
Swimming and wading aren't permitted at Shaver Pond.
Description
This trail starts off the parking area, opposite the softball field. It follows a small spur to the base of the loop, and you can either take a right or left. Taking a left, the trail circles around the south end of the pond, then travels up along the western shore.
It passes by some trails, but always stays to the right. At the north end of the pond, the trail takes a right turn onto
Secondary 99. Here, the trail coincides with a few different trails. It passes by the inlet for Shaver Pond and continues towards the visitor center.
The trail takes a sharp right (down towards the dam), then re-connects with the red-blazed singletrack. The trail follows along the eastern shoreline, until it arrives back at the parking lot spur.
