This trail is located on private property. For access one needs to be a member of High Hampton Club, a guest of a member, or a guest at the historic High Hampton Inn which is located on the property.
Overview
This route starts at the High Hampton Fitness Center, has great views of the mountain, wetlands, golf course, and headwaters of Hampton Lake. If you want to step it up a little, and the side loop of the
Grotto Trail to the Saddle and back down the Upper and
Lower Saddle Trail.
Description
Starting from the Fitness Center, hike across the bridge under Hampton Lake Dam to the
Lakeside Trail. This will lead you to the Wetlands Trail which will carry you all the way to the end of Flagstone Road. Catch Flagstone Road back to Owl Hollow Road and jump on the
Azalea Trail. This will lead you back to the
Lakeside Trail where you can cross the Hampton Lake Bridge back to the resort core and Fitness Center. A great hike without any severe elevation changes that is a mix of tail and some development roads.
