From Salento, taking the last right off of Carrera 6 before the stairs begin to climb to the Mirador, you'll head up a road that immediately becomes gravel after your turn. Follow this for about 1 mile.

On the left will be a road with a very well done concrete job. It'll have a sign saying that it was a route Simon Bolivar took. Use the Trail Run Project mobile app or Gaia GPS to ensure you take the right one. This road quickly devolves to a dirt road then the Inicio Trail, which becomes singletrack and has some epic trenching, like most of the other trails out of Salento.

Simply follow this trail. You'll get some good views of the surrounding countryside. Continue until you exit a gate and hit a gravel road. At the gravel road you can either head back the way you came or turn right to loop back to Salento on what happens to be the road you started out on.
