The 11-acre park is open daily from sunrise to sunset and is free to visit. Dogs are welcome but must be kept leashed at all times. Trails are for pedestrians only (no bicycles, golf carts, horses, etc.).
This easy half-mile crushed granite walking trail loops through mixed tallgrass and shortgrass prairie, Ashe juniper and persimmon thickets. At the park, you'll find an observation deck, bird blind, wildlife watering station, analemmatic sundial, Chimney Swift towers, and nesting boxes.
Flora & Fauna
Park flora includes Texas bluebonnets, six species of milkweed, over two dozen native grasses, and clusters of woolly lipfern and Buckley's yucca. Native trees include Ashe juniper, Texas live oak, post oak, cedar elm, mesquite, Eve's necklace, and huisache.
Over 55 bird species have been observed on the property, as well as deer, rabbits and other wildlife.
