Overview

A nice moderate run with a good amount of vert around Atalaya mountain.

Description

Begin with a relatively tough 3.5-ish mile climb up to the top of Atalaya, then follow the trail along the ridgeline to Picacho. from there, head down to the Cerro Gordo trailhead. Tragically, you'll have to run on southwest on the road for about a half mile, before turning left onto Arroyo Polay.
