Overview
13 km hiking and cycling trail that loops Sandsken.
Description
Start in Od or in Mollungen where there is parking and an information board. Accessibility should be good. The hike is partly or entirely on a nature trail. For a person with normal fitness, the difference in level is not a problem.
If you start at Ods church, the trail goes via lovely dirt roads in the Ljunga area. Then continues on older paths where there is a lovely rest area next to the lake Sandsken with a barbecue area called Källekrokehall. Then continue towards Mollungen, in Mollungen you hike through a beautiful beech forest.
In Mollunges beech forest there are also separate excellent nature trails through the untouched beech forest. The nature reserve of the beech forest is about 171 hectares. In the spring, the beech forest is fantastically bright and is often used as a photo studio for photographing bridal couples.
If you are cycling, the best choice is the nice asphalt road through the beech forest. If you want to go swimming, there is a nice bathing place marked as a bathing place on the map. I should point out that it is shallow and ideal for families. Adults have to hike almost halfway across the lake to be able to dip.
