Need to Know

This trail is unmaintained. This trail does not go to the summit of Mount Tom. Watch out for snowmobilers (during the winter).

Description

This trail branches off Rosebrook and Mount Field Loop and heads northward. It arcs around to travel southeast, through a forest of Birch and Ferns. While there are some other forest roads, the main trail stays to the most traveled route. The trail climbs up to the pass, then dead-ends (in an open area).

Despite being called the Mount Tom Trail, this trail doesn't actually summit Mount Tom. If you're adventurous, you can bushwhack northwest (along the ridgetop) to the viewless summit of Mount Echo.
