Description

This trail, also known as the South Hero Recreational Path, starts from a large pullout off Tracy Road. It follows the old railroad bed southward, through a marshy area. This trail doesn't offer many wildlife viewing opportunities since it is so overgrown.

Flo: White Baneberry, Red Baneberry, Common Buckthorn, Wild Grapes, Bindweed, Goldenrod, Asters, Canada Moonseed, Chinese Prickly Ash, Chestnut(?) Oak, Highbush Cranberry, Honeysuckle, Silky Dogwood, Box-Elder, Sugar Maple, Black Currants, Poison Ivy, Sensitive Fern.
Fungi: Dryad's Saddle.
