Since this trail mostly follows the train tracks, it is only accessible during the winter months.
This trail is for winter use only when snow covered.
Need to Know
This trail is mostly for winter use, except for the area where the tracks have been removed.
Description
This trail starts off Corridor 19, near the Pike Industries gravel pit, and runs northward. This section northward follows a part where the railroad tracks have been removed, so you won't have to worry about running into any trains.
Cross over Route 113, near Coleman Supply, to the railroad bed on the other side of the road. Follow this railroad bed to West Main Street and cross over the road. Here is where the tracks pick up again, so summer use is not permitted from this point northward.
Follow the tracks over Route 16 and continue north. Shortly after passing by the Sparhawk Family Cemetery and Heather Hill Road, look for where the trail turns left into the woods (off the tracks). Follow this to the Marshall Conservation Area. The trail turns right (out to the road) and connects to the tracks on the other side.
While the Mountain
Mead Riders map shows Corridor 19A continuing along the tracks, this part of the tracks is usually closed. You'll have to utilize
Corridor #19A Alternate to get to the other end of Corridor 19A.
