The start of this trail can be access from the nearby I-275 Metro Trail and from the paved walkway along Hines Drive. This trail can also continue on to the River View trail East of Newburgh rd.

The trail stays on the well marked and flat two-trail for it's entirety, however there are also a series of mountain bike trails closer to the lake, which are smaller singletrack trails and have some stairs and boardwalks as well.

Parking is at the Trailhead Parking Lot (I-275 Metro & Lakeview Trail) which provides enough space for at least 20 vehicles.
