This trail starts from the Beal's Road Parking Area and heads southward. In a short distance, it passes by the Knob Trail (on the right). The trail crosses over into Pisgah State Park and climbs up to the John Beal Homestead (at the top of the Knob Trail). The trail descends down to the Latham - Beal Cemetery (on the right). The trail continues until it reaches the Fullam Pond Trail.
