This loop trail starts off South Legacy Way and heads south following the contour line of the hill to the west. After 250 yards, Mourning Dove Trail branches off to the right, turn left here and stay on the shady trail.

The southern end of Mourning Dove trail rejoins after a third of a mile. Continue towards the park boundary where the trail loops around and heads back north. The trail descends for a bit passing by Warbler Trail at 0.7 miles and then reaches South Legacy Way again at 1 mile.
