Description
From Starhope Creek Camping area start your trip at the trailhead and junction with
Jarvis Trail #4247. This trail takes the left side of Broad Canyon. About 1.5 miles in you come to White Mountain Trail #4043 which climbs the south side. At about 5 miles up you come to
Betty/Bapti Cut-off #4061 to the right which can be used to skip Baptie Lake and Goat Lake. Stay left and climb, it is worth it.
The first lake is Baptie and provides some cover for camping. The next Lake is Goat Lake and though it has some nice grassy areas is mostly rock and has no cover. Climb up over the ridge to drop into Betty Lake. from here you can continue your adventure on
Fall Creek Trail #4045 but don't fall! That one is sketchy.
A common option is to make it a loop with
Jarvis Trail #4247. Also, an option is to start down
Jarvis Trail #4247 just a ways to catch
Betty/Bapti Cut-off #4061 to rejoin this trail below the lakes.
