Not for beginners and climbing gear is highly recommended as this trail is more than a scramble in a lot of places. There is no shame in knowing your limits and living to see another day. Be safe. This trail is often traveled to access the many vertical climbing lines and repelling opportunities along the way. You can also access the Lakes or hike back around on the much tamer Sheep Creek Lakes Trail and Seven Devils Trail #124.
