Description
A beautiful shaded trail that runs along Bell Marsh Creek. The first two miles are gradual and really nice. The trail does cross the creek 7 or 8 times though, and some are nearly impossible to cross without getting wet. The best thing to do is just take the foot plunge and get it over with early, so you don't waste too much time trying to find dry crossings. This trail becomes incredibly steep after mile 2. The final mile is especially difficult because the trail has a lot of loose rock. The final stretch also ascends a barren ridge, so you are exposed to the sun and potential heat if you are going on a hot day. The trail ends on a high ridge with awesome views. From the top of the trail you can ascend Scout Mountain or take the Crestline Trail
