If you're looking for a very straight forward route then it doesn't get much easier than this path around the former Golf Club at Vistoso. In early 2022 the deal was finalized for this to be eventually transferred over to the Town of Oro Valley and it will be preserved for recreational use and open space. The connectivity to nearby larger tracts of desert mean you can see all manner of birds, bobcats, javelina, deer, and more along the path. Improvements to the path are planned by the Town but overall the route winds through the desert along the former concrete golf cart path. There are many spots along the path that you can access the loop, so look on the map where it connects to roads and hop on. This trail posted starts from one of the southern points, but there are countless other areas to join up. Development of the old clubhouse area & parking lot will be forthcoming by a developer FYI. There's clearly no technical running here, but the windy nature of the path and dips up & down make it slightly tougher than you'd think.
